PrimusRS - The Ultimate Physical Therapy Equipment

Patrick Rhein Story - DRIVE at Rehab Institute of St. Louis

Four and a half years ago quadriplegic, Patrick Rhein, thought he would never regain the ability to do a number of activities he once had, including driving. A devastating car accident left Patrick with little hope, minimal movement in his arms, and paralyzed from the waist down. Until, he joined DRIVE (Driver Readiness Intervention and Exercise) program at Washington University in St. Louis. DRIVE is designed to increase a patient's strength, ROM, and endurance by incorporating the real-life tasks of driving.

One of the foundations for the Pilot program DRIVE, PrimusRS, helps patients like Patrick reach results he never thought possible. With smooth resistance modes, adjustable height, and a full set of functional attachments, PrimusRS can replicate nearly any functional task or activity of daily living, like steering a driving wheel or hitting the brake of car — making it the most versatile and functional smart physical therapy equipment for multi-joint testing, orthopedic rehab, neuromuscular reeducation, and advanced musculoskeletal athletic training.
