JobAble™ is an effective tool for reducing disability duration by expediting early return to safe work. JobAble™ is BTE’s proprietary web-based software application that allows human resources, safety, medical, claims, case management, or other appropriate parties in the return to work process to match the demonstrated abilities of the worker to any position within an employer utilizing specific search functions.
JobAble™ allows users to access a customized database housing all of the physical demand functions of any job classified within an organization by BTE and directly compare the physical capabilities of the worker to any job within that database. The system determines where limitation exists between the workers abilities and the job demands. With the ability to classify job demand requirements by Essential Functions of the job and other categories such as division, department and location, JobAble™ is extremely useful in post-injury and ADA accommodation. The process of matching an individual’s physical capabilities against all, or a portion, of the company’s job positions, with clear “match” or “non-match” results, takes minutes compared to days for a manual comparison.
